Off-line worldwide tide prediction using NOAA/XTide harmonic data files.
Features aTides
aTides is a completely off-line worldwide tide prediction application using NOAA/XTide harmonic data files. It is based on code from uTides which in turn is based on xTides.
If you are familiar with how xTides works you will be familiar with aTides.
aTides however only contains a subset of features from xTides.
What this essentially this means is that I have no control over data files so please try the free version first to see if the areas you want are included before buying this app.PLEASE NOTE: The Non-Free region which previously contained ports for Canada and some areas of the UK, Germany and Holland that may not be in the Europe region is now defunct - as of 2020 there is no data for these ports, please do not ask for this back as public domain data for these ports after Jan 2020 does not exist.v2.4fix a rare null pointer when opening the info pagenew icon, long overdue rebuild for newer Android devicesv2.3fix issue loading datasets from external storage on some devicesv2.1improved options for displaying DSTchart now shows full time / tide grid tap-and-hold helper line on chart now allows dragging and shows tide level---Note: data may be out of date & not all ports are available, please do not ask for more ports unless you can provide the harmonics file.

What Our Users Say
Don't just take our word for it. Here's what our users have to say about our Android app.
"Has been great but now will not run"
Mike Wunderlich
"Very good neat app. Could we have daylight saving time applied automatically please?"
Stephen Worth
"I've always wanted X-Tide on Android and this is basically just that. Thanks!"
Nigel Heaton
"I've been using this for years. I've taken it with me on all my travels, and it has never failed me. Info is offline, which is very useful because I find that when I'm wandering along the shore, i don't always want to connect too a cell or a Wi-Fi connection. There are prettier tide apps. And there are more expensive and complicated apps, but there is none as useful and reliable as this."
A Google user
"Had to uninstall b4 updating but best tide app, and it's all in memory, no internet needed, so you can use it in the subway. Try that with the others!"
A Google user
"A little clunky to use but the NZ tide info works nicely. Can you get the daylight savings setting from the phone?"
A Google user
"I wanted this and was hoping for the same as my ipod touchapp, but just a waste of money ,does not give the areas that I wanted .waste if money ."
A Google user
"Not a bad app but needs a better way to search for future days and a way to store favs. Its no aye tides like I had on my Iphone and has a ways to go"
